Senior Technician / Extruder / Operator (Frontline Technical Support)

Position Overview:

TM Chemical is seeking a Senior Technician / Extruder / Operator with extensive hands-on experience in the PVC and foam board manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will not only operate and maintain extruder machines but will also act as a frontline technical support team member, ensuring product quality, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing formulations for production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Extrusion Operations

1. Operate and maintain extruder and extrusion line equipment for PVC foam boards, pipes, and panels.

2. Monitor and control parameters such as temperature, pressure, and feed rates to ensure consistent product quality.

3. Perform setup, calibration, and adjustment of machines according to product specifications.

Product & Process Understanding

• Demonstrate strong technical understanding of foam board products and their production processes.
• Work with both high and low calcium formulations, ensuring proper recipe usage as per product requirements and market demand.
• Support development and optimization of formulations for PVC pipes, panels, and fittings.

Technical Expertise

• Apply deep knowledge of PVC-U Pressure Pipes & Fittings manufacturing, including material mixing, extrusion, and cooling processes.
• Identify and resolve process deviations, machine malfunctions, and quality issues.
• Collaborate with the technical and R&D teams to improve process efficiency and product performance.

Plant & Process Knowledge

• Have a thorough understanding of how a PVC chemical plant operates, including raw material handling, compounding, and extrusion processes.
• Ensure compliance with operational standards, safety, and environmental guidelines.

Frontline Technical Support

• Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting extrusion-related issues.
• Provide technical assistance to production staff and support training of junior operators.
• Assist in machine maintenance scheduling and performance monitoring.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Not a primary requirement – hands-on experience is key.

Experience:

• Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in PVC extrusion operations within foam board, panel, or pipe manufacturing industries.
• Strong understanding of PVC formulations, additives, and compounding methods.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production specifications.
• Familiar with extrusion line operations and maintenance procedures.
• Team player with strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of safety standards in chemical manufacturing environments.

Working Conditions:

• Full-time, plant-based role.
• Rotational or extended shifts may be required based on production needs.
• Exposure to heat and chemical processing environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs70,000.00 - Rs90,000.00 per month
