• OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
  
  

Inspect, test, repair, and maintain (discipline specific) plant and operations equipment/machinery (routine, ad-hoc, emergency and strategic maintenance) to ensure continuous integrity, and sustainable and safe operation

Qualification

• High school certificate
• Maths and Science desirable
• Trade test + 1 Year experience as Artisan (subject to personal performance)

• Execute repairs/modifications: dismantle, fix and reassemble of machines/equipment
• Examine workpieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications and safety requirements
• Perform ad-hoc and/or emergency maintenance (including shutdowns)
• Execute discipline specific artisan work during projects
• Plan layout and installation of equipment/machinery/fixtures
• Prepare and maintain records, detailing tests, repairs and/or maintenance
• Consult manuals, schematics, flow diagrams and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems and to determine optimum equipment functioning
• Analyse test data to diagnose malfunctions, to determine performance characteristics of systems and/or to evaluate effects of systems modifications
• Strict adherence to safety codes, regulations, rules and procedures
• Read and comply to work orders and specifications to determine machine/equipment requiring repair or maintenance
• Identify correct parts needed for replacements and repairs and timely order following correct procedures
