Senior Town Planner

Job Title: Senior Town Planner Location: Leicestershire

The RoleAs a Senior Town Planner, you'll be responsible for managing and delivering a wide range of planning projects from inception through to determination. Working closely with clients, consultants, and local authorities, your duties will include:

• Managing and prioritising your own caseload and delivering high-quality planning advice.
• Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation.
• Undertaking site appraisals and developing site-specific strategies.
• Leading project meetings and negotiations to secure successful outcomes.
• Preparing planning reports, statements, and representations.
• Mentoring and supporting junior team members through their professional development.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

About You

• MRTPI qualified (or actively working towards it).
• Proven experience delivering planning projects in a consultancy or local authority environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage workloads effectively.
• Confident in liaising with clients, consultants, and local planning authorities.
• Team player with a proactive and positive attitude.
