Job description:

Our company is currently seeking a dedicated Senior Truss Designer proficient in Alpine Software to join our professional construction team in Cedar Hill, Texas. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a highly skilled designer with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to deliver precise and efficient structural solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing truss systems for both residential and commercial projects, directly contributing to the growth and performance of our organization.

Responsabilities:

  • Utilize Alpine Software to create and refine trusses, wall panels, and related structural components, ensuring alignment with codes and project specifications.
  • Analyze architectural plans, structural designs, and bid documents to generate precise and dependable outcomes.
  • Generate accurate take-offs and detailed cost estimates in support of project financial planning.
  • Work closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to deliver design solutions that are both effective and efficient.
  • Oversee documentation management, track design revisions, and coordinate all change orders to ensure project accuracy.
  • Prepare and deliver timely shop drawings, submittals, and layout packages to meet scheduling requirements.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Alpine Software (mandatory) with experience in truss design and estimating.
  • Skilled in reviewing and interpreting construction blueprints and technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills combined with sharp analytical thinking and problem resolution.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work efficiently in fast-paced environments with strict deadlines.
  • Experience with estimating software or takeoff applications is a plus.

Education and experience:

  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in construction design or estimating, ideally within structural or truss-related projects.
  • Comprehensive understanding of wood framing and truss engineering concepts.
  • Prior fieldwork or practical framing installation knowledge considered a plus.
  • Educational foundation in drafting, construction management, engineering, or related disciplines preferred.
  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish is advantageous though not mandatory.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
