Senior Truss Designer

We’re looking for a Senior Truss Designer to bring expertise, creativity, and leadership to our Post Falls, ID team. We are looking for an in-house candidate but are willing to offer remote work to the right person. What You’ll Do

• Design complex, precise trusses that meet all building codes and specifications.
• Translate architectural blueprints into detailed layouts and design drawings using Mitek Software.
• Review and validate work from junior designers, providing guidance and ensuring accuracy before production.
• Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to guarantee up-to-date designs and exceptional customer support.
• Mentor and train less experienced designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support departmental needs.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in truss design or the construction industry.
• Proficiency in Mitek software and Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Strong knowledge of blueprints, architectural plans, and structural designs.
• Deep understanding of building codes, loading conditions, and truss design principles.
• Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams, customers, and vendors.
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively.
• A professional presence, serving as a dependable resource for the design team.
