Senior UI Designer

At YellowSlice, we are looking for a Senior UI Designer who is ready to lead a team of talented junior designers towards creating immersive interfaces.

If you are keen on producing outstanding visual interfaces while serving as a mentor to junior team members to help them excel in their roles, this role is for you.

You will have to freedom to organize, research, prioritize, and execute visual design tasks. You’ll also lead client discussions related to your area of expertise, offering clear recommendations and assisting clients in making informed decisions.

Skills & Responsibilities

• Create visual interfaces for consumer/enterprise mobile apps (iOS, Android & Hybrid), responsive web apps and responsive websites.
• Identify and create micro-interactions/transitions/gestures.
• Create scalable design systems & component libraries.
• Knowledge of grid systems, layout, typography, and colour theory.
• Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools like Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or Protopie.
• From a brief, produce concepts for layouts and develop these concepts based on given feedback.
• Finish designs to a highly detailed, professional level.
• Work with developers to communicate specs, ensure correct implementation, and work through any problems encountered.
• Visual design definition, direction, and execution.
• Manage and distribute work for junior visual designers and ensure their time is utilized effectively.
• Set new benchmarks in visual design and innovate constantly.
• Ability to manage and mentor people.
• Excellent pixel-perfect visual designs for any application you’re working on to meet the goals of the project.
• Continuous communication between internal teams, project managers, and stakeholders.
• High-quality presentations for any visual designs being presented.
• Timely delivery for any task assigned to you or your mentee.
• Ensure the growth of mentees to ultimately become completely independent.

Must have/Special Notes

• 3+ years of experience.
• At least 1 year of experience in managing small teams
• A detailed portfolio is a must in which only individual projects must be showcased.
• A degree in Arts or Design is preferred.
• Knowledge of design theory, especially principles of logo, graphic/UI design, and usability.
• A keen sense of aesthetics, with an eye for crafting visually appealing designs to high levels of detail.
• A people person and leader who knows how to get people involved and motivate them to collaborate in design discussions.
• Hands-on knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop and Illustrator), CSS and HTML, and JavaScript skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• A good listener and facilitator who knows how to facilitate constructive design discussions.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹60,000.00 per month
