The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Underwriter to join our Financial Lines team in Dubai (DIFC). This is a key role within the business, offering the opportunity to underwrite complex and emerging risks while contributing to portfolio strategy, broker relationships and regional growth.

You will be responsible for underwriting a broad suite of financial lines products, including Directors & Officers (D&O), Professional Liability (E&O), Cyber, Crime and Employment Practices Liability (EPL). You will play a senior role in shaping underwriting strategy, supporting profitable growth and delivering high-quality, innovative solutions to clients.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

• Lead the underwriting of complex financial lines risks across D&O, E&O, Cyber, Crime and EPL
• Assess and structure risks, determining appropriate coverage terms, limits and pricing
• Contribute to underwriting strategy and portfolio management, ensuring sustainable profitability
• Analyse market trends, regulatory developments and emerging risks within innovative sectors
• Build and maintain senior broker and client relationships across the region
• Support business development initiatives in collaboration with sales and marketing teams
• Monitor portfolio performance and recommend strategic adjustments
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced underwriters as required
• Support risk mitigation and loss prevention initiatives

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, Risk Management or a related discipline
• 5+ years’ experience in financial lines underwriting
• Strong technical expertise across D&O, Professional Liability, Cyber and related financial lines
• Solid conceptual understanding of data security, privacy, cyber and information risk
• Proven ability to underwrite complex and non-standard risks
• Professional qualifications such as CPCU, RPLU or ARM
• Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and relationship-management capabilities
• A collaborative, commercial mindset with the confidence to operate at senior level
