As a Senior UX Designer for the Omnichannel Transacting team you will shape best-in-class e-commerce experiences that make complex journeys simple and intuitive. You’ll lead design strategy, connect decisions to user needs and business outcomes, and craft scalable visual and interaction designs that work seamlessly across channels. In this role, you’ll apply systems thinking and service design principles to create inclusive, end-to-end solutions, while anticipating trends like personalization and AI-driven commerce. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and business partners, present compelling design narratives, and mentor peers to elevate craft and consistency. This role is remote eligible, which means you would work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location.

What you’ll do
  • Drive design strategy for omnichannel commerce experiences—especially cart and checkout—connecting every decision to user needs and measurable business outcomes.
  • Create high-quality designs across visual, interaction, and system-level patterns, ensuring flows are seamless, scalable, and accessible across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate and influence across product, engineering, and business teams, presenting compelling concepts and guiding priorities through ambiguity.
  • Mentor and elevate the team, providing feedback, sharing best practices, and helping designers grow in craft and impact.
  • Leverage research and data to validate ideas, uncover opportunities, and ensure designs deliver both exceptional user experiences and business results.

Basic qualifications
  • Online portfolio or case studies showcasing visual design craft excellence and strategic impact, including at least 3 examples of complex, high-impact projects with measurable business outcomes.
  • 5+ years of UX design experience with accountability to lead design strategy and deliver scalable solutions
  • 2 years working in ecommerce or large multi-channel environments
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing Figma at an advanced level including Component Libraries & Variants, Auto Layout Mastery, Design Systems Management

Preferred qualifications
  • 2 years of experience designing for retail Cart / Checkout and transacting
  • Experience with AI-driven personalization and automation.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and data-driven design.
  • Experience creating and maintaining design systems.
