Job Description:

Array is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior UX Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 8 years of experience in UX design and a proven ability to develop comprehensive design systems. This role requires a strategic thinker who can ask insightful questions, document problems effectively, and create seamless user journeys from concept to high-fidelity designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead UX Design Initiatives:

• Drive the UX design process from initial research to final implementation.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement innovative solutions.

Problem-Solving & Documentation:

• Ask pertinent questions to understand and define UX problems.

• Document user needs, challenges, and opportunities thoroughly.

User Journey & Wireframing:

• Develop detailed user journeys to map out user interactions.

• Create wireframes and prototypes to illustrate design concepts.

High-Fidelity Designs:

• Produce high-quality, detailed designs that align with brand guidelines.

• Ensure designs are optimized for various platforms (web, mobile, thick client).

Design System Development:

• Create and maintain a comprehensive Design System for ARRAY using Figma.

• Implement branding guidelines.

Collaboration with Development Teams:

• Work closely with front-end developers to implement the Design System.

• Assist in creating a React/Angular library for shared use across projects.

UX/UI Testing and Validation:

• Test UI implementations to verify adherence to intended design.

• Incorporate user feedback and usability testing results to improve designs.

Qualifications:

• Strong academic background with the minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.

• 8+ years of full-time hands-on UX design experience, including thick client, web and mobile UIs.

• Proven track record of delivering visually stunning and user-friendly designs, with a portfolio showcasing design projects.

• Proficiency in Figma.

• Proficiency in user journeys for enterprise software.

• In-depth knowledge of UX/UI design principles and trends.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and defend design decisions.

Good to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

• Experience in the financial services industry.

• Experience with startup culture – adaptability to the fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

• Any client-facing roles – your ability to understand and meet client needs is a plus.
