Senior Vice President Development

This position would spearhead their Multifamily, residential vertical in Texas.


Role

This is a build-oriented leadership role, requiring an individual who can combine strong deal-making capability with execution expertise and the ability to scale a team and platform over time.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing and securing new multifamily development opportunities across Texas
  • Leading underwriting, structuring, and investment approvals
  • Managing the full development lifecycle including design, entitlements, construction, and lease-up
  • Building and maintaining relationships with brokers, municipalities, consultants, and JV partners
  • Working closely with internal capital and investment teams to support deployment strategy
  • Building and leading a regional development team as the platform grows
  • Helping shape market strategy, submarket focus, and product positioning


Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be a senior multifamily development professional with a strong track record operating within Texas markets.

Key requirements include:


  • 10–15+ years of experience in ground-up multifamily development
  • Demonstrated ability to source, structure, and execute development deals
  • Experience within an owner/developer or owner-operator platform
  • Proven track record managing projects through the full development lifecycle
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including underwriting and capital structuring
  • Deep network across Texas brokers, municipalities, and operating partners
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the capability to build and scale a business line
  • Prior experience building, mentoring, or leading teams


This role is best suited to an individual who is both commercially driven and operationally rigorous, with the ambition and capability to play a key role in shaping a growing platform.
