Located in newest expansion area, Baltimore, MD, the Senior Vice President of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for the strategic direction, development, and execution of Greenlight Networks’ human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and goals of the organization. This role involves overseeing the critical elements of the Company’s HR strategy, including employee relations and engagement, total rewards (compensation and benefits), performance management, compliance and risk management, and HR Operations (HRIS, reporting, budgeting, etc.). The Senior Vice President of HR will work closely with Executive Leadership and other members of the management team to ensure the Company’s HR practices align with our shared goals and values.


Essential Functions:

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Support the organization by developing and executing a comprehensive human resources strategy that aligns with Greenlight Networks ’mission and values, as well as its business and strategic goals and objectives
    • Provide support and advice to management on all matters relating to workforce planning, organizational design, and employee/leadership development
    • Oversee HR aspects of change management initiatives (e.g. business growth, new market expansion, operations enhancements/changes, etc.)
    • Oversee Talent Acquisition & Development to continue to drive a culture of high performance and talent attainment and retention
  • Employee Relations and Engagement
    • Lead and drive culture-related initiatives, including proactive strategies for fostering employee engagement and satisfaction
    • Foster a respectful, transparent, and collaborative work environment through proactive employee relations strategies
    • Oversee conflict resolution and disciplinary actions with fairness and consistency
  • Total Rewards
    • Lead Total Rewards initiatives inclusive of compensation design (market value of positions, implement annual pay for performance, market adjustments, and other rewards and recognition programs), bonus plan design/administration, and commission plan design/administration
    • Oversight of benefit administration, including benefit plan design, open enrollment, and employee education to ensure a best-in-class benefits program
  • Performance Management
    • Implement performance management systems that support alignment to company goals and employee growth
    • Oversee annual performance review process with a focus on ensuring employees receive timely, accurate information that is actionable for improving individual and company performance
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Provide guidance to managers and employees on workplace issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws
    • Identify and mitigate HR-related risks to protect the organization, including but not limited to labor law and wage and hour law compliance
  • HR Operations
    • Develop and implement HR policies (including employee handbook) and processes as needed to align company operations to our goals, mission, and values, with a focus on supporting a multi-state and field-based workforce
    • Oversee efficient execution of core HR functions such as onboarding (in collaboration with Talent Acquisition), offboarding, and records management
    • Management of HRIS and other HR-related systems
    • Implement, monitor, and report on operational KPIs

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Experienced in building strong working relationships and credibility at all levels of the organization by developing a deep understanding of business operations and organizational culture, and through open communication, visibility, and trust-building behaviors that support our open-door policy
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, specifically as it applies in telecommunications and/or construction-related industries
  • Experienced in a high-growth business, with elements of both organic and inorganic growth
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable with HR systems and how to apply technology to drive scalability
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with an ability to communicate processes and policy and contribute to strategic initiatives that are based on achieving data driven metrics
  • Ability to coach and manage team members & management to maximize capabilities creating a high-performance culture
  • Experience with Total Rewards strategies and ability to translate those to the business, from inception to implementation

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required (Master’s preferred)
  • 15+ years’ experience in Human Resources, 7+ years’ experience at a leadership level
  • Industry experience in telecommunications, utilities or construction preferred
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred

Other Requirements

  • Ability to travel within Greenlight Networks geographic footprint required on a consistent and regular basis

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The salary for this role is between $180,000.00 – $220,000.00. The actual rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
