Position Summary:
The Senior Vice President of Sourcing is responsible for developing and executing the company’s global sourcing strategy to drive cost savings, continuous improvement of supplier performance, and ensure supply chain resilience. This leader will oversee sourcing, and supplier relationship management, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sourcing strategy that aligns with corporate goals and financial objectives.
  • Drive cost savings, supplier performance, and risk mitigation initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, including Operations, Supply Chain and Finance, to optimize procurement processes and ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Lead sourcing initiatives that support product innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key global suppliers and vendors.
  • Develop tariff mitigation strategies.
  • Work closely with production marketing to drive NPD pipeline execution.
  • Negotiate high-impact supplier contracts to optimize costs, quality, and service levels.
  • Implement supplier performance metrics and supplier scorecards
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to ensure funnel of executable projects.
  • Drive year-over-year cost reductions while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with company standards.
  • Extend and balance supplier credit and shipping terms to try positive results.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for sourcing operations.
  • Develop policies and procedures to ensure sourcing practices adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Optimize sourcing processes and implement best-in-class procurement tools and technology.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sourcing team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team members are equipped with the skills and resources needed to succeed in a rapidly evolving supply chain environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • 20+ years of progressive sourcing, procurement, or supply chain leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of global sourcing, procurement, and supplier management within a manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods environment.
  • Experience with durable goods, chemicals, textiles and safety products.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing high-value supplier agreements.
  • Financial acumen with experience in cost analysis, budgeting, and P&L management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience implementing procurement technologies and process automation.
  • Experience leading sourcing operations in a multi-site, international organization.
  • Knowledge of sustainability and ESG principles related to procurement.
  • Familiarity with ERP and procurement systems (e.g., SAP, MS D365).
  • Domestic and international travel as needed to visit suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and company offices.
