Senior Video Editor

We're seeking a talented Senior Video Editor to create engaging, high-quality video content for our YouTube channel and social media platforms. This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours – work from anywhere, on your own schedule. You'll be responsible for producing 4-5 long-form videos per week and 20-30 short-form videos per week . The ideal candidate will have excellent English communication skills, efficient workflow processes, and the ability to maintain consistent quality at scale.

Weekly Deliverables

• Long-form content: 4-5 videos per week (10- 30+ minutes each)
• YouTube videos, tutorials, vlogs, interviews, podcasts, or narrative content
• Complete editing, including cuts, transitions, graphics, color grading, and audio mixing
• Thumbnail creation for each video
• Short-form content: 20-30 videos per week
• Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels
• 15-90 seconds each
• Optimized for vertical and square formats
• Engaging hooks, captions, and trending audio integration

Quality Standards

• Maintain consistent branding and style across all content
• Meet platform-specific technical requirements
• Ensure quick turnaround without compromising quality
• Adapt and optimize based on performance metrics
  

Content Creation & Editing

• Edit multiple long-form YouTube videos weekly with strong pacing and storytelling
• Produce high volumes of short-form content efficiently using templates and batch workflows
• Design and animate custom graphics, lower thirds, titles, and motion graphics
• Color grade and color correct footage to maintain consistent visual quality
• Mix and master audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects
• Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips

Strategy & Optimization

• Optimize videos for each platform's algorithm and audience preferences
• Create compelling thumbnails and title cards that maximize click-through rates
• Stay current with social media trends, viral formats, and platform algorithm changes
• Analyze video performance metrics and implement improvements based on data
• Identify the most engaging moments from long-form content for short clips
• Adapt content across multiple aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:5)

Workflow & Efficiency

• Develop and maintain efficient editing templates and presets
• Create streamlined workflows to handle high-volume production
• Organize and manage large amounts of footage and project files
• Use batch processing and automation where possible
• Maintain organized file structures and project archives
• Meet weekly quotas consistently and reliably

Communication & Collaboration

• Provide regular project updates in clear, written English
• Participate in video calls and written discussions about creative direction
• Give and receive feedback professionally and constructively
• Maintain transparent communication about project timelines and deliverables
• Flag potential delays or issues proactively
  

Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of professional video editing experience with high-volume production
• Proven track record of delivering consistent weekly quotas
• Strong portfolio demonstrating both long-form and short-form content
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop
• Experience with efficient workflows, templates, and batch editing
• Deep understanding of YouTube SEO, retention strategies, and platform best practices
• Knowledge of social media platform specifications and trending formats
• Experience with color grading software (DaVinci Resolve preferred)
• Strong audio editing and mixing skills
• Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality

English Proficiency (Critical Requirement)

• Excellent written English - Must communicate clearly and professionally via email, Slack, and project management tools
• Strong verbal English - Comfortable with video calls and voice communication
• Ability to understand creative briefs, feedback, and project requirements in English
• Capable of writing video descriptions, captions, and content notes in English
• Understanding of English-speaking audience preferences and cultural nuances
• Can interpret and implement feedback accurately

Technical Knowledge

• Understanding of various codecs, file formats, and compression techniques
• Familiarity with camera equipment and shooting techniques
• Knowledge of motion graphics and animation principles
• Experience with subtitle/caption creation and accessibility standards
• Comfortable with cloud-based collaboration tools (Google Drive, Dropbox, Frame.io, etc.)
• Knowledge of render optimization and file management for high-volume output
