Overview:
BCG Connect, a leader in direct marketing for academic institutions and nonprofit organizations, is diversifying our service offering and responding to the needs of our market by adding a video group.
We are focused on creating high-quality, story-driven content for organizations’ marketing campaigns, events, and digital platforms.
We’re looking for an experienced videographer who wants to play a key role in shaping the new division’s creative identity, workflows, and growth.
Role Overview
This is not a typical videographer role. You’ll be a hands-on creator and a foundational team member responsible for shooting, editing, and helping define the visual style and production standards of BCG’s video dvision.
You should be equally comfortable behind the camera, in the edit suite, and collaborating directly with clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead video shoots from concept to delivery (commercial, branded, events, social content)
- Operate professional camera, audio, and lighting equipment
- Edit high-quality video content with strong storytelling and pacing
- Collaborate on creative direction, shot lists, and production planning
- Help define and maintain the company’s visual style and brand standards
- Work directly with clients to understand goals and deliver polished results
- Build efficient workflows for shooting, editing, and file management
- Assist in building a scalable production process as the company grows
- Stay current with video trends, tools, and techniques
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional videography experience
- Strong portfolio showcasing a range of work (ideally within the education and nonprofit space)
- Advanced proficiency in editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Experience with color grading, sound design, and motion graphics (a plus)
- Strong understanding of lighting, composition, and camera movement
- Ability to manage projects independently from start to finish
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable in a startup environment
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience building or scaling a production company
- Motion graphics / After Effects
- Drone operation (licensed)
- Photography experience
