Senior Warehouse Manager

Purpose Of This Job

The Senior Warehouse Manager oversees all warehouse operations at high-volume distributing locations and serves as the primary operational leader within the facility. This role ensures efficient, accurate, and compliant operations while driving operational excellence and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs). Key responsibilities include managing inventory, shipping and receiving, pallet accountability, fleet maintenance coordination, inventory adjustments, employee training, staffing schedules, and quality control. The Senior Warehouse Manager also leads warehouse staff, implements process improvements to increase productivity and service levels, and supports strategic planning, budget management, and cross-department communication while maintaining strong safety, compliance, and inventory accuracy standards.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement warehouse strategies aligned with company goals focused on operational efficiency, cost control, and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory control, product rotation, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and outbound loading.
  • Monitor warehouse layout, space utilization, and facility conditions to maximize efficiency and support operational growth or expansion.
  • Lead and manage warehouse staff including hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, scheduling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain high standards for warehouse cleanliness, organization, safety, and compliance with company policies, RBNA standards, and government regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce warehouse safety, security, and emergency operating procedures.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, inventory accuracy, delivery timelines, and operational costs.
  • Generate and maintain operational reports, performance metrics, process documentation, training records, and safety documentation.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement process improvements to increase productivity, efficiency, and service levels.
  • Oversee inventory management including adjustment reconciliation, warehouse damage reporting, route clean-ups, and discrepancy resolution in partnership with Operations and Finance.
  • Own the CHEP pallet tracking, reconciliation, and accountability process, including monitoring pallet movement and resolving discrepancies.
  • Coordinate warehouse fleet maintenance scheduling and monitor vehicle conditions in partnership with the Fleet Manager to ensure operational readiness.
  • Manage warehouse operating budgets including labor, inventory levels, and operational expenses while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technology solutions to improve operational performance.
  • Inspect warehouse equipment and facilities and coordinate maintenance, repairs, or replacements as needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Operations leadership, Sales teams, Fleet, Finance, and executive leadership to ensure efficient order fulfillment and operational alignment.
  • Serve as the primary warehouse contact for cross-functional communication and issue resolution.
  • Support collaboration across the organization, share best practices, and contribute as a leader within the operations peer group.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education And Experience

  • 3–5+ years warehouse leadership experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field.
  • Beverage distribution or logistics experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Clear background and drug test.

Physical Requirements

  • Repeatedly lifting 10-25 pounds including overhead multiple times daily.
  • Moving carts/dolly that weigh up to 75 pounds repeatedly on a daily basis.
  • Pushing hand truck with up to 150 lbs. of weight on it multiple times daily.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting while driving.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting while at a desk.
  • Prolonged periods of talking on a phone.
  • Ability to stand and walk frequently.
  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
