Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Warehouse Specialist located in Vernon Hills, IL. The Senior Warehouse Specialist will oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving and processing shipments, managing inventory, preparing orders for delivery, and ensuring compliance with company standards and safety guidelines. This role involves organizing storage areas, coordinating with logistics partners, and suggesting improvements for efficiency. Leadership responsibilities include training and guiding the warehouse team to meet productivity and quality goals.

Qualifications

• Inventory Management and Warehousing: Proficiency in managing inventory systems, ensuring accurate stock levels, and maintaining an organized warehouse environment.
• Shipping and Receiving: Experience in processing incoming and outgoing shipments, including labeling, tracking, and coordinating with carriers.
• Leadership and Training: Strong ability to mentor and train team members, assign daily tasks, and oversee team performance.
• Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Ability to identify operational inefficiencies, recommend solutions, and ensure high standards of accuracy and quality.
• Physical Fitness: Capability to lift and move heavy items and work in a dynamic warehouse environment.
• Relevant Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is a plus) and prior experience in a warehouse or logistics role. Forklift certification is advantageous.
