Senior Web Developer – WordPress + HubSpot

Doylestown, PA – Hybrid Remote

Sagefrog Marketing Group is seeking a talented Senior Web Developer with deep experience in WordPress, Elementor, and custom Elementor widget development. This role also supports HubSpot development work—primarily landing pages and email campaigns, with occasional HubSpot CMS projects.

About the Role

As a Senior Web Developer at Sagefrog, you will lead and execute development on a wide range of client websites and digital initiatives. Your core focus will be WordPress websites built with Elementor—including custom widgets and advanced dynamic features. You will also collaborate on HubSpot landing pages and email templates, leveraging the platform’s tools to build high-quality marketing assets.

You’ll work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers, contributing technical expertise, clear communication, and a solutions-oriented mindset. This role requires someone comfortable working independently on assigned projects while also participating in cross-functional, fast-moving client engagements.

Responsibilities

WordPress + Elementor Development

• Build, enhance, and maintain WordPress websites using Elementor, custom Elementor widgets and Advanced Custom Fields.

• Write clean, maintainable, standards-compliant code following best practices

• Translate Figma designs into pixel-perfect, responsive layouts

• Develop custom PHP functionality, theme modifications, and plugin integrations

• Create functional and technical documentation as needed

HubSpot Development

• Build landing pages, microsites, and email campaigns using HubSpot’s design tools

• Assist with occasional HubSpot CMS website development

• Ensure assets are optimized for usability, performance, and brand consistency

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with internal teams to scope development needs, provide estimates, and identify technical solutions

• Communicate complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders clearly and confidently

• Participate in pre-launch, launch, and post-launch support for websites and campaigns

• Assist with DNS management, hosting coordination, and site migrations

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with WordPress, Elementor, HubSpot, and related web technologies

• Recommend new tools and approaches that improve performance, workflow, or user experience

Qualifications

Required

• 5+ years professional experience in website development

• Strong WordPress experience (themes, plugins, custom functionality)

• Expert-level experience with Elementor and building custom Elementor widgets

• Intermediate-to-advanced PHP skills, including OOP fundamentals

• Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, and JSON-driven interfaces

• Experience integrating APIs and third-party services

• Hands-on experience with HubSpot (landing pages, emails; CMS experience a plus)

• Solid understanding of MySQL and database-driven development

• Experience with React, Vue or Svelte

• Comfortable working in Git-based workflows

• Ability to troubleshoot browser, mobile, and platform inconsistencies

• Strong understanding of the web development lifecycle

Preferred

• Experience in a marketing agency environment

• Experience building reusable component systems

• Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG)

• Understanding of performance optimization and SEO-friendly development
