Senior Web Developer – PHP & Headless Technologies

We are seeking to hire an experienced PHP and web developer with strong architectural understanding to support, maintain, and migrate multiple company websites to a headless technology stack.

Our business operates several live systems, including e-commerce websites and an online sales EPOS platform. Alongside resolving existing functional and performance issues, we have made a strategic decision to transition our platforms to a headless architecture in order to improve scalability, performance, and long-term flexibility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both stabilising current systems and leading or supporting the migration to the new headless setup.

The ideal candidate should have experience with:

• PHP and MySQL-based back-end systems
• Headless architecture (decoupled front-end and back-end)
• APIs (REST / JSON, and ideally GraphQL)
• E-commerce platforms and online sales workflows
• Web-based EPOS or order management systems
• Front-end frameworks (e.g. React, Vue, or similar) used in headless environments
• Hosting and server environments, including cPanel, deployments, backups, and security
• Working safely on live production systems

This role is remote-friendly and available on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on availability and suitability. There is potential for a long-term engagement following the successful migration and stabilisation phase.

Due to the commercial sensitivity of our systems:

• A confidentiality agreement (NDA) will be required
• Secure handling of credentials and infrastructure access is mandatory
• A clear handover of source code, system documentation, and access credentials will be required at the end of the engagement
