About the Role

We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, secure, and scalable WordPress websites. This role requires strong custom development experience beyond basic page builders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom WordPress themes & plugins
• Convert Figma / XD / PSD designs into responsive websites
• Optimize website speed, performance, and Core Web Vitals
• Implement security best practices, updates, and backups
• Customize and extend WooCommerce functionality
• Troubleshoot bugs, plugin/theme conflicts, and performance issues
• Manage website migrations, hosting setups, and deployments
• Collaborate with designers, SEO, and project teams
• Mentor junior developers

Must-Have Skills

• 3–10 years hands-on WordPress development experience
• Strong in PHP, WordPress Core, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Proven experience with custom themes/plugins, ACF, WooCommerce
• Performance optimization, caching, and database knowledge
• Familiar with Git/version control and WordPress security

Important: Only candidates with custom WordPress development experience (themes/plugins/hooks/custom logic) will be considered. Page-builder-only experience is not eligible.

Nice to Have

• Headless WordPress or React experience
• WordPress Multisite
• Hosting platforms (AWS, Cloudways, WP Engine)
• SEO & schema implementation knowledge
