Senior WordPress Plugin Development Director

Job Summary:
Fantastic Plugins Software Solutions Qatar WLL is seeking a Senior WordPress Plugin Development Director to lead the architecture, development, and scaling of enterprise-grade WordPress plugins and SaaS-integrated web solutions. This role is responsible for overseeing full product engineering cycles, managing development teams, and driving innovation in plugin ecosystems, performance optimization, and secure scalable web applications. If you are an experienced software engineering leader specializing in WordPress and PHP ecosystems, this is a key opportunity in Qatar’s digital product development sector.

What you'll do:

• Lead end-to-end development of WordPress plugins and web-based SaaS integrations
• Oversee architecture design for scalable, secure, and high-performance plugins
• Manage backend and frontend development teams (PHP, JavaScript, React)
• Define coding standards, development workflows, and engineering best practices
• Ensure plugin compatibility with WordPress core updates and third-party APIs
• Drive innovation in plugin monetization, licensing, and subscription models
• Collaborate with UX/UI teams to improve usability and user experience
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and version control systems
• Optimize plugin performance, security, and database efficiency
• Monitor product analytics, bug reports, and user feedback for continuous improvement

Requirements:

• Experience in WordPress plugin development or software engineering leadership roles
• Strong expertise in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and WordPress core architecture
• Experience with REST APIs, plugin frameworks, and SaaS integrations
• Strong understanding of MySQL database optimization and backend systems
• Experience managing software engineering teams and agile workflows
• Strong knowledge of web security, performance optimization, and scalability
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and technical architecture skills

Pay: QAR28,000.00 - QAR50,000.00 per month
