Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented SEO Consultant (Freelancer) to guide and support our SEO function. The ideal professional should have deep expertise in search engine algorithms, technical SEO, content optimisation, and performance analytics. The consultant will work closely with the internal SEO team, review their work, mentor them where necessary, and provide strategic direction to grow organic traffic and strengthen search visibility.

This role requires working from the office once a week, with the remaining coordination happening remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

1. SEO Strategy & Guidance

Develop, refine, and guide the overall SEO strategy for the organisation.

Conduct weekly reviews of the SEO team’s work and provide actionable insights.

Identify gaps and opportunities across on-page, off-page, backlinks, and technical SEO.

Ensure alignment of SEO initiatives with content, social media, and product goals.

2. Technical SEO Oversight

Audit websites for technical issues such as crawlability, indexation, site speed, and mobile performance.

Provide recommendations for improvements and collaborate with the development team for implementation.

3. Performance Tracking & Reporting

Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and key SEO performance indicators.

Prepare weekly or bi-weekly performance updates for stakeholders.

Use data-driven insights to refine ongoing strategies.

4. Team Collaboration & Mentorship (No Team Handling)

Guide the SEO team on best practices and provide direction when needed.

Support team members with content optimisation, keyword planning, and SEO execution.

Assist in setting achievable monthly targets and reviewing progress.

5. Project-Based Support

Support with SEO-related audits, website updates, launches, and campaigns.

Coordinate with external vendors or agencies when required.

Work Expectations:

Must work from the office once a week for reviews and planning.

Remaining deliverables can be completed remotely.

Expected to provide weekly strategy updates and performance insights.
