SEO & Content Marketing Specialist

Overview

Mango Cannabis is a fast-growing multi-state cannabis operator with retail stores and a rapidly expanding eCommerce business. We are seeking a talented and driven SEO & Content Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. This role is essential in enhancing our online presence and driving organic traffic through effective SEO strategies and compelling content creation. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital marketing, search engine optimization, and content management systems, with a passion for leveraging data to optimize conversion rates.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage SEO strategies for all Mango Cannabis websites and store locations.
• Write and publish optimized content: blogs, landing pages, location pages, product descriptions, and educational articles.
• Manage Google Business Profiles and local citations to boost store map rankings.
• Perform technical SEO audits and resolve crawl, indexing, and performance issues.
• Optimize metadata, headers, structured data, and internal linking.
• Create and manage a monthly SEO content calendar focused on growth and conversions.
• Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Jasper, SurferSEO, etc.) to scale content production.
• Build backlinks and partnerships through white-hat outreach.
• Monitor SEO performance with GA4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio.
• Research competitors to identify growth opportunities in retail and eCommerce.
• Collaborate with marketing and dev teams to launch new pages and improve site UX.

Experience

• 3+ years of SEO and content writing experience.
• Strong writing and editing skills (able to self-publish content).
• Proven experience in local SEO and Google Business Profile management.
• Strong understanding of site structure, schema markup, and technical SEO.
• Comfortable with Shopify, WordPress, or similar CMS platforms.
• Proficient in SEO tools (Ahrefs, Semrush, SurferSEO, BrightLocal).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted SEO and content workflows.
• Analytical, detail-oriented, and results-driven.

Bonus Points If You:

• Have experience in cannabis, retail, or lifestyle brands.
• Understand compliance/marketing rules in regulated industries.
• Know how to leverage Weedmaps or Leafly for SEO visibility.
• Have basic HTML knowledge or schema implementation skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $72,600.00 - $80,000.00 per year
