Key responsibilities
- Keyword Research and Strategy: Conduct keyword research and develop SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and drive organic traffic.
- Content Optimization: Optimize website content, including metadata (like titles and descriptions), headings, and internal linking, to make it more search engine-friendly.
- Technical SEO: Perform technical audits to identify and fix issues like broken links, crawl errors, and slow site speed. Implement solutions to improve the website's technical foundation.
- Link Building: Develop and execute link-building strategies to increase the website's authority and reputation.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console, and report on key SEO metrics.
- Collaboration: Work with content creators, developers, and other marketing teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented across the website.
- Staying Current: Continuously stay updated on the latest search engine algorithm updates and industry trends to adapt and refine strategies.
Essential skills and qualifications
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and interpret performance metrics.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with coding languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can be helpful, as well as expertise with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
- Research Skills: Ability to conduct thorough keyword and competitive analysis.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
