We are seeking an experienced and visionary SEO Manager / Head of SEO Department (HOD) to lead our SEO division. This role requires a deep understanding and hands-on experience of
- Traditional SEO
- AI‑driven search trends
- Generative Engine Optimization (GEO)
- Answer Engine Optimization (AEO)
- Artificial Intelligence Optimization (AIO)
The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, managing, and mentoring the SEO team, ensuring seamless collaboration across content, design, and development, while delivering measurable results for clients.
Key Responsibilities1. Leadership & Team Management
- Build, structure, and lead the SEO department, creating specialized persons for on‑page SEO, off‑page SEO, content writing, and technical aspects of SEO.
- Assign tasks, set clear KPIs, and ensure accountability across all team members to drive effective performance.
- Mentor and train team members on evolving SEO practices, AI principles, and Google algorithm updates.
2. SEO Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies tailored to client goals.
- Oversee on‑page optimization (site structure, metadata, schema, internal linking, technical audits).
- Direct off‑page optimization (link building, digital PR, brand mentions, reputation management).
- Ensure all strategies align with AI‑driven search requirements (GEO, AEO, LLM, AIO).
3. AI‑Driven SEO Integration
- Use Artificial Intelligence Optimization (AIO) techniques (structured data, semantic SEO, schema markup) to make content machine‑readable and appealing for search engines.
4. Cross‑Department Collaboration
- Work closely with content writers to produce SEO‑optimized, AI‑friendly content (blogs, product descriptions, guest posts, reviews).
- Collaborate with designers to ensure visuals support SEO goals (UX, site speed, mobile optimization).
- Coordinate with the development team to implement technical SEO fixes, site migrations, and performance improvements.
5. Quality Assurance (QA)
- Conduct regular SEO audits to identify issues and opportunities.
- Ensure backlink profiles remain healthy by disavowing toxic links when necessary.
- Review and approve content, designs, and technical changes before deployment.
6. Client Communication & Reporting
- Share weekly and monthly SEO performance reports with clients, highlighting progress, challenges, and next steps.
- Offer regular meetings to discuss campaign strategies, future run‑downs, and optimization opportunities.
- Maintain transparent communication to build trust and long‑term relationships.
7. Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Use SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Moz, SurferSEO, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Ubersuggest) for tracking and analysis.
- Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and backlink gap studies to refine strategies.
- Stay updated with Google algorithm changes, AI search trends, and evolving best practices.
- Continuously test, measure, and optimize campaigns for maximum ROI.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven SEO experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong expertise in on‑page, off‑page, technical SEO, and AI‑driven search optimization.
- Deep knowledge of GEO, AEO, LLM optimization, and AIO principles.
- Proficiency in SEO tools.
- Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage large teams.
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
