SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Marketing Coordinator of Student Engagement and Outreach (SEO), the ASI Photographer and Videographer is responsible for capturing images and video of ASI including but not limited to; events, activities, programs, and services, and participants who use them. Create and distribute content for various engagement opportunities to promote ASI's programs and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Captures and edits photo and video content for ASI events and programs as requested for the creation of materials promoting ASI programs, events, and activities for the shared photo/video content library;
- Create digital photographs and videos using standard and innovative photography and videography practices;
- Work towards creating an ASI image in the photos and videos captured to uphold the ASI brand;
- Work directly with clients to coordinate photoshoot details and needs, including but not limited to concept, timeline, scheduling, participants, and other visual needs;
- Collaborates with other ASI program areas to enhance and promote their image around campus;
- Communicate and collaborate with ASI A-Team and the Marketing Coordinator of SEO regularly to coordinate the needs of upcoming social media campaigns, events, designs, and ideas;
- Maintain an up-to-date calendar with assignments and work independently to ensure project deadlines;
- Provide images weekly to highlight ASI programs and services and the student experience participating in those areas;
- Other duties may be assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at Sacramento State; maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA overall (for Student Assistant incumbents);
- Experience in photography and videography;
- Must be organized, self-sufficient, and reliable with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously;
- Knowledge of Adobe programs (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro)
- Ability to sit at and focus on a computer for an extended period of time;
- Ability to work outside and stand for extended periods of time;
- Proficiency in Macintosh (OSX) computers;
- Experience using Flickr and YouTube;
- Available to work 20 hours per week while classes are in session; 10 hours per week during term breaks
- Portfolio of previous work experience required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working in photography/videography or class experience for 6 months or more
