SEO Project Manager India 10+yrs Experience

We’re seeking a results-driven and strategic SEO Project Manager to lead our SEO efforts in the travel niche. This is a leadership role that blends deep SEO knowledge with strong project management skills to drive organic growth and online visibility across our portfolio of travel-focused websites.

The ideal candidate will not only be well-versed in on-page and technical SEO, but also experienced in leading teams, managing workflows, and coordinating between content creators, developers, and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee SEO projects from strategy through to implementation and performance reporting
• Conduct and guide comprehensive keyword research to identify growth opportunities for landing pages, blog content, and tours
• Oversee on-page optimization, ensuring consistent implementation of SEO best practices across all digital content
• Monitor SEO performance using SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics, and report on KPIs
• Lead regular SEO audits and direct the development team to resolve technical SEO issues
• Coordinate with the content team to develop high-quality, engaging, and search-optimized content
• Stay updated on Google algorithm updates and proactively adjust strategies as needed
• Deliver regular performance reviews, project updates, and improvement roadmaps to senior stakeholders
• Ensure that SEO initiatives are aligned with broader marketing goals and timelines

Required Experience & Skills:

• 10+ years of SEO management experience (preferably in the travel and tourism industry)
• Proven ability to lead SEO teams and delegate tasks effectively
• Strong knowledge of on-page SEO, site architecture, and technical SEO
• Experience managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines with high-quality output
• Proficiency in tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, GSC, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, etc.
• Familiarity with content planning, social media’s role in SEO, and link-building coordination
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Ability to turn data into actionable insights and communicate them clearly to both technical and non-technical team members
• A proactive, hands-on attitude with strong attention to detail and ownership
