SEO Project Management Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SEO Project Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and manage multiple SEO projects end-to-end, with a strong focus on delivering measurable growth in organic visibility, website traffic, and keyword rankings. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies—while ensuring compliance, quality, and long-term performance.

This is a full-time role for a proactive professional who can balance project management with hands-on SEO expertise, ensuring every project runs smoothly and delivers consistent results across diverse industries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Off-Page SEO

Research and secure high-quality backlink opportunities (guest posts, citations, niche edits, PR, forums, profiles).

Build and maintain 100–120 quality backlinks per project (minimum).

Manage and negotiate guest posting placements on authoritative websites.

Monitor backlink quality to ensure compliance with Google’s SEO guidelines.

Maintain clear documentation of all link-building activities.

2. On-Page SEO

Create optimized, keyword-rich titles, meta descriptions, and heading structures.

Enhance site content for relevance, engagement, and search intent alignment.

Optimize images with descriptive alt tags and compression.

Improve internal linking for crawlability, authority distribution, and navigation.

Ensure content and site structure are mobile-first and SEO-friendly.

3. Technical SEO

Conduct regular site audits to identify and fix crawl errors, broken links, and indexation gaps.

Optimize website speed through script, server, and image improvements.

Manage sitemap, robots.txt, canonical tags, and structured data implementation.

Guarantee HTTPS compliance and resolve mixed content issues.

Handle 301 redirects, 404 pages, and other user-experience blockers.

4. Reporting & Tracking

Deliver monthly SEO performance reports, including rankings, organic traffic, backlink growth, and conversion insights.

Use advanced SEO tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog) to track progress.

Proactively flag risks, opportunities, or sudden performance drops and recommend action plans.

5. AI in SEO (Guidelines)

Use AI for keyword research, content outlines, competitor analysis, and automated reporting.

Ensure AI-assisted content is always human-reviewed, original, and compliant with SEO standards.

Strictly follow Google’s E-E-A-T guidelines for credibility and authority.

6. Project Management & Collaboration

Work closely with the SEO Lead for strategy alignment and reporting.

Collaborate with designers, developers, and writers to implement recommendations.

Take ownership of SEO outcomes across all assigned projects.

Stay updated on Google algorithm changes, emerging SEO tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

2+ years proven experience in SEO (multi-project or agency experience preferred).

Strong command of off-page, on-page, and technical SEO.

Proficiency with leading SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Search Console).

Solid understanding of keyword research, link building, and content optimization.

Experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Shopify, or similar.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver measurable results.

Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational skills.
