Duties

• Safely operate septic trucks equipped with tanker and other specialized attachments, including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers.
• Load, transport, and unload septic waste materials following all safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Route drive efficiently across designated service areas, managing schedules to meet client needs promptly.
• Connect hoses and pumps to septic tanks for pumping and cleaning operations, ensuring thorough service delivery.
• Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, routes driven, and service details for record-keeping and compliance purposes.
• Assist with loading or unloading freight or equipment as needed, utilizing forklifts or other machinery when applicable.

Skills

• Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, or tanker trucks.
• Skilled in operating manual transmission vehicles with precision control.
• Familiarity with driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and other specialized truck types relevant to waste management services.
• Strong knowledge of route planning and route driving best practices for timely service delivery.
• Ability to load & unload materials safely using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary.
• Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and adherence to traffic laws and regulations.
• Experience in delivery driver roles involving freight handling, load securing, and customer service.
