Bridgewater Retirement Community's Dining team is currently seeking outstanding and energetic Servers to join our team! Everyday our work is resident focused, and our goal is to build relationships that lead to the best quality of life possible for our residents and our team members. Our work environment is team based and collaborative.

Schedule: 11a-7p with an every other weekend rotation


The primary responsibility of the Dining Room Worker/Server is to prepare the dining room for service, take food orders, serves residents, staff, and guests courteously, and ensures cleanliness and food safety in all dining areas. This role supports a positive dining experience through gracious service, sanitation, and collaboration with the kitchen team.


Essential Functions

An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Greet, seat, and take orders from residents, guests, and team members
  • Deliver meals promptly and accurately; clear tables and reset for next service
  • Maintain clean and sanitary dining rooms, serving areas, and kitchen prep areas
  • Attend daily dining meetings and food safety sessions
  • Support orientation of new team members and report hazards or equipment issues
  • Comply with VDH regulations and organizational policies related to food safety and resident confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned
    • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience
    • Strong customer service skills
    • ServSafe® certification preferred
    • Prior food handling or server experience preferred

Physical Activities
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

    • Standing, walking, bending, stooping
    • Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds; pushing/pulling up to 100 pounds
    • Reaching above shoulders; climbing ladders up to 8 feet; full range of motion required
