Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus confidently, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and specials.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all requests are clearly communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation.
  • Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities.
  • Check in with guests regularly to ensure their needs are met, addressing any concerns with professionalism and enthusiasm.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms.
  • Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety standards.
  • Support guest relations by providing exceptional service in various settings such as fine dining restaurants or lively nightclubs.
  • Follow sanitation protocols diligently, including proper food handling and kitchen hygiene practices.
  • Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant environments, or hospitality roles is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently and effectively increase sales through suggestive selling techniques.
  • Experience working in fine dining settings or nightclubs is advantageous but not required.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing.
  • Culinary experience or kitchen knowledge is beneficial for understanding food preparation processes.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $21.69 - $26.13 per hour
