Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus confidently, and provide detailed descriptions of menu items to enhance the dining experience.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery.
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement.
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation, temperature, and quality standards are met.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering duties with accuracy and accountability.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards through proper food handling, bussing tables, and adhering to food safety protocols.
• Assist with food preparation or kitchen support when needed, demonstrating versatility in food industry roles.
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements for optimal guest flow.
• Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and providing exceptional customer service.
• Support team members during busy shifts by managing time effectively and staying organized in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially with fine dining or nightclub settings.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with diverse guests.
• Ability to manage multiple tables efficiently through effective time management and organization skills.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and sales upselling techniques.
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable; culinary or kitchen experience is a bonus.
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in dynamic environments like nightclubs or busy restaurants.
