Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements using reservation systems such as OpenTable.
• Take accurate food and beverage orders, utilizing POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled.
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales through suggestive selling techniques.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales.
• Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation protocols.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly to foster guest satisfaction.
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas efficiently, and supporting host/hostess duties when needed.
• Demonstrate culinary knowledge when describing dishes or ingredients to guests, especially in fine dining or specialty venues.
• Manage multiple responsibilities seamlessly during busy shifts while providing attentive guest services in diverse settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightlife venues.
• Strong knowledge of POS system Toast is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
• Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance guest experience and increase revenue.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and managing tabs efficiently.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
• Previous experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess roles or related positions is preferred.
• Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for understanding food preparation details.
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume shifts while maintaining quality service.
