Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive first impression
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend popular items, and upsell to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Handle cash transactions accurately through POS systems, process payments, and provide correct change or receipts
• Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and service stations by bussing tables efficiently and adhering to sanitation standards
• Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly
• Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up or breaking down service areas

Experience

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or upscale settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing and guest management
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
• Experience in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring guest satisfaction
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts while maintaining attention to detail
• Serving experience at nightclubs or casual dining venues is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
