Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables with a friendly, professional demeanor
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and communicated effectively
• Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend wine pairings or specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, sanitation, and food safety protocols
• Manage multiple tables efficiently through excellent time management skills during busy service periods
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale restaurants
• Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation and food handling best practices
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence
• Ability to manage time effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
• Knowledge of sanitation standards and food safety regulations in the food industry
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and billing processes
• Experience in serving, bussing, host/hostess roles, or food industry roles that emphasize guest interaction and service excellence
