REPORTS TO: MANAGER
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for coordinating your entire station and communicating with front and back of house personnel to provide a dining experience that exceeds guest expectations. Processes guest orders that ensure that all are prepared properly and on a timely basis. May assist the host department in greeting and seating guest.
TASKS:

Performs opening duties according to scheduled station.

Check station to make sure it is clean i.e. chairs, booths, table, silverware and glassware.

Greet guest within 2 minutes. Inform guest of featured items, any menu changes, suggest at least 2 appetizers and alcoholic drink. Be 100% knowledgeable of all menu items. Answer any questions they may have regarding our food/wine/alcohol menus.

Must have knowledge of POS computer system and understand timing with food and beverages.

Have cocktail/beverage in front of them within 5 minutes have a complete knowledge of wine service.

Serve food promptly with complete knowledge of garnish. All hot food is a priority rather if it is yours or not!!!! Never auction food off…

Check back with guest after 2 bites or 2 minutes. Keep beverages full.

Clear plates as needed, never leave dirty dishes in front of people.

Offer dessert, after dinner drinks and coffee

Keep wait station stocked and clean. Change out sanitizer buckets as needed using QT-40 strips

Totals bill and accepts payment in a timely manner

Follows and completes all side work and cleaning as posted and on an on-need basis

Follows correct procedures for doing your cash, check-out at the end of shift and is responsible for correct cash handling procedures in all areas of service

Must comply with all safety precautions and procedures for yourself and fellow employees

Must comply with all Arizona Health Dept codes and standards along with our in-house Food Safety Plan
PRE-REQUISITES: Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Must be able to perform simple math calculations and input on a point-of-sale computer system. Must have current Arizona food handlers care.
EXPERIENCE: A knowledge of sequence of service and dining room procedures, generally involving a minimum of 1 year as a S.A. or front of the house employee. Must be customer sensitive and possess a sense of timing so that courses may be served at the proper time. Must possess upselling skills and able to multitask.
PHYSICAL: Must be able to stand & exert face paced mobility for up to 8 hours. Must have good sense of balance, be able to bend, lift & carry pans, trays and bus tubs 25lbs or more. Must be able to serve food and drinks using cocktail and large oval trays
