Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide prompt seating assistance, utilizing host/hostess experience when applicable
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently, maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximize sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques like OpenTable reservations or specials
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation as needed
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring a memorable dining experience in both casual and fine dining environments

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant settings, with a strong foundation in customer service and guest relations
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation enhances your ability to assist guests effectively
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and transaction accuracy
• Previous experience working in fine dining establishments or nightclubs is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
