Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system (Toast) ensuring all special requests are noted
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
• Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
• Manage table settings, clear dishes, and assist with bussing to maintain a clean dining environment
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are strictly followed during food handling and service
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders, especially in fast-paced or fine dining settings
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate guest seating and waitlist management
• Provide excellent guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or upscale bars
• Strong knowledge of POS system (Toast) and cashiering procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude and the ability to connect with diverse guests
• Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances service quality
• Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while respecting guest preferences
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
• Experience with reservation platforms like OpenTable for managing guest seating arrangements
• Basic math skills for bill calculations, cash handling, and transaction accuracy
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and team members
• Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles that involve guest relations and food industry standards
