Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and attentive Server to join our dynamic food service team. As a key ambassador of our restaurant, you will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your role will involve taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every guest leaves satisfied and eager to return. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and provide personalized recommendations based on guest preferences
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems, process payments, and give correct change
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations; assist with bussing tables as needed
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures to ensure a safe dining environment
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders in a fast-paced setting such as fine dining or nightlife venues
- Support other team members during busy periods, including host/hostess duties or basic food preparation when necessary
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub environments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with OpenTable reservations system is a plus but not required
- Basic math skills for cash handling and bill splitting; attention to detail is essential
- Previous host/hostess or bussing experience is advantageous for supporting overall restaurant operations
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment
