Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
• Take accurate orders using Toast POS systems, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
• Recommend menu items and upsell additional food or beverages to enhance the guest experience
• Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
• Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to support smooth restaurant operations
• Use reservation management tools to seat guests promptly and manage waitlists effectively

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Strong knowledge of POS systems for order entry and transaction processing
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, engaging demeanor and the ability to handle guest relations professionally
• Understanding of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety protocols
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities
• Experience with host/hostess duties or serving in a fast-paced environment is a plus
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing accuracy, and transaction processing
