Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Manage multiple tables simultaneously with excellent time management skills to ensure timely service
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Maintain sanitation standards by adhering to food safety protocols, proper food handling, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning work areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed
- Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction
- Support host/hostess duties during busy periods to manage reservations and seating arrangements effectively
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests positively and professionally
- Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations is essential
- Knowledge of food industry standards related to serving, food preparation, and hospitality operations
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations accurately
- Prior experience in bussing tables or supporting kitchen operations is a plus
- Excellent communication skills coupled with a proactive approach to guest relations and team collaboration
