Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, attentive, and professional Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences by providing attentive service, menu knowledge, and a welcoming atmosphere. This role requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality, ensuring guests enjoy their dining experience from start to finish. Prior experience in food service or fine dining environments is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as TOAST and OpenTable. The Server will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and guest relations.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus promptly upon seating.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and sales.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
- Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems; process payments and give correct change.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and dining areas; bus tables as needed.
- Assist with food preparation or kitchen support during busy periods if required.
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols throughout service.
- Build rapport with guests to foster guest relations and encourage repeat visits.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service in a fast-paced environment, including nightclubs or fine dining settings.
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems such as TOAST and OpenTable.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures in the food industry.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously.
- Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to increase sales opportunities.
- Previous experience in restaurant settings, fine dining, or nightlife venues is highly desirable.
- Basic math skills for cashiering and handling cash transactions accurately.
- Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and hospitality standards.
