Job Summary

Based on the successful business in the past 3 years in Kaka'ako, we are opening up another location in Waikiki and seeking a friendly and organized Hostess/Host to join our team. As the first point of contact for guests, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a positive dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a friendly and courteous manner
• Present menus and briefly explain menu items and daily specials to customers
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Deliver orders promptly and ensure accuracy
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service
• Clear tables efficiently and reset for the next guests
• Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
• Maintain cleanliness in the dining area
• Explain parts of the meat accurately to customers
• Grill meats interacting with customers

Requirements

• Previous serving experience in an upper scale dining
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines
• Familiarity with basic math for order taking and bill processing
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to restaurant procedures
• Willingness to work as a team

Skills

• Experience with POS system is preferred
• Strong communication skills
• Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant setting is beneficial
• Excellent guest relations skills
• Knowledge of food service procedures
• Proficient in phone etiquette
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to assist and help guests promptly
• Japanese cuisine background or knowledge is beneficial

Shift Hours

• Monday - Sunday, 4:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Tips

• Tip pool shared based on the point system

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
