Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed
- Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities accurately during shifts
- Maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with sanitation regulations
- Demonstrate excellent guest relations skills to resolve issues promptly and ensure guest satisfaction
- Support team members in a variety of restaurant operations, including food preparation and service in fine dining or nightclub settings
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales tracking
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food service industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Culinary experience or background in food handling preferred to better assist with menu knowledge and guest inquiries
- Effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or nightlife environments is a plus
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food industry terminology including food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation protocols
- Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and team members

Pay: $21.17 - $25.49 per hour
