Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards are maintained at all times
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely food preparation and delivery
• Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting host/hostess duties as needed
• Manage cash handling and cashiering responsibilities accurately during shifts
• Maintain a clean, organized work environment in compliance with sanitation regulations
• Demonstrate excellent guest relations skills to resolve issues promptly and ensure guest satisfaction
• Support team members in a variety of restaurant operations, including food preparation and service in fine dining or nightclub settings

Skills

• Proven experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and sales tracking
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food service industry
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Culinary experience or background in food handling preferred to better assist with menu knowledge and guest inquiries
• Effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
• Previous restaurant experience in fine dining or nightlife environments is a plus
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food industry terminology including food preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation protocols
• Strong communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with kitchen staff and team members
