About the Role:

As a Server in the accommodation and food services industry, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your primary objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest needs or concerns promptly. You will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely and accurate delivery of orders while maintaining a clean and organized dining environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting to enhance the overall guest experience. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to the establishment’s reputation for quality service and customer loyalty.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and order management software.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to handle multiple tables and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
  • Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any issues or special requests.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate order timing and resolve any service challenges.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
  • Process payments and provide accurate change or receipts to guests.
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.

Skills:

The required skills such as effective communication and basic math are essential for accurately taking orders, interacting with guests, and processing payments. Attention to detail and multitasking abilities help ensure that orders are delivered correctly and guests’ needs are met promptly, even during busy periods.
