Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS ensuring all details are correct
• Recommend menu items and upsell specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality
• Manage food handling and sanitation procedures according to safety regulations
• Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating and optimize guest flow
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties
• Maintain excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
• Support kitchen staff with basic food prep when needed and uphold food safety standards

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
• Ability to manage time effectively during busy hours while multitasking efficiently
• Culinary experience or background in food handling is highly desirable
• Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food preparation techniques
• Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
• Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and inventory management
• Previous host/host or serving experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential
