Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent guest relations skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fine dining or casual restaurant setting. Prior restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued. The Server will play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences through attentive service and knowledgeable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving concerns promptly
- Follow proper food handling procedures and ensure guest safety at all times
- Collaborate with team members to deliver seamless service during busy hours, including nights and weekends if required
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, including fine dining or nightclubs preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Customer service-oriented mindset with guest relations expertise
- Knowledge of food industry terminology, food handling, and food preparation basics is a plus
- Previous experience as a host/host or in bussing roles is advantageous
