Siragusa's Taste of Italy is seeking an experienced server to join our team!

We are currently hiring for a morning shift from 9:30–2:00 with a guaranteed wage of $15/hr, as well as weekend servers for Saturday and Sunday. Available weekend shifts include 11–6/7, 2–8, and 4–close (approximately 10 PM).
An alcohol serving certificate and a valid food handler’s permit are required.

Job Summary

In this fast‑paced role, you’ll provide exceptional guest service, take accurate food and beverage orders, and ensure every dish is presented with care. Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems ensuring special requests are noted and followed
• Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
• Use effective suggestive selling techniques to enhance the guest experience and promote specials or featured items
• Assist with food handling, preparation, bussing, and overall cleanliness in accordance with sanitation standards
• Handle cash and payments accurately, including basic math and cashiering responsibilities
• Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest concerns to ensure satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or similar roles (server, host, bartender) is highly preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to stay professional, positive, and composed in diverse situations
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices
• Excellent time‑management skills to stay organized during busy shifts
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for billing, payments, and simple inventory tasks
• Fine dining experience is a bonus, but a passion for hospitality and great service is essential.
