Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
  • Recommend menu items and upsell specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining proper food handling and sanitation standards
  • Manage tables effectively by bussing, resetting, and ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy hours
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and cash handling procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation protocols
  • Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setup and breakdown of service areas
  • Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to coordinate seating arrangements and optimize guest flow
  • Support guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly to ensure complete satisfaction

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or nightclub settings
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
  • Experience in serving, bussing tables, or host/hostess roles demonstrates excellent guest service skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume shifts while maintaining attention to detail
  • Culinary experience or kitchen background is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
  • Basic math skills for cashiering, cash handling, and order calculations are essential
  • Proven ability to upsell menu items and contribute positively to sales goals
