Duties

• Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide detailed descriptions of dishes and beverages to enhance their dining experience
• Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely and correct delivery of food and drinks
• Upsell menu items and specials to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining genuine guest engagement
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper food handling and kitchen safety protocols
• Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and ensuring overall satisfaction throughout their visit
• Assist with bussing tables, cleaning service areas, and supporting host/hostess duties during busy periods
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering systems, process payments, and balance registers at shift end

Skills

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest service excellence
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable for order processing and cash handling
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in high-volume settings
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
• Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus for understanding food preparation processes
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and ensure seamless service delivery
