Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities with basic math skills
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure proper food preparation and timely service in fine dining or nightclub settings
• Manage guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive guest experience

Skills

• Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS for order entry and payment processing
• Strong culinary experience and knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and provide memorable experiences
• Effective time management to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
• Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation platforms preferred for managing guest seating arrangements
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities
• Previous restaurant experience in food service, serving, or host/hostess roles in fine dining or nightclub environments is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
• Knowledge of food preparation processes and kitchen operations beneficial for seamless communication with culinary staff
